Emmer Casarecce with Pesto

Pastificio Carleschi’s Emmer Casarecce is a wholegrain variety, with notes of hazelnuts and toasted walnut. The earthiness of the pasta works well with Purely Pesto’s aromatic basil pesto. You can easily double or even triple the recipe.


Pastificio Carleschi Emmer Casarecce, 200g
Purely Pesto's pesto, 100g
Parmesan, freshly grated, to serve


1. Cook the pasta following pack instructions.
2. Drain, reserving a cupful of starchy pasta water.
3. Add the pesto to the pasta along with a little pasta water to loosen the sauce.
4. Toss together, then serve. Top with Parmesan cheese.
